Custom domain and white label for a status page

A status page can live on your own domain, such as status.example.com. By the end of this page you will have pointed a domain at it. On Pro Agency you will also have swapped our branding for yours.

Plan: a custom domain comes with Pro Business and Pro Agency. White label comes with Pro Agency only.

Add a custom domain#

1. Open the project and click Uptime monitor in the sidebar.
2. Click the Status pages tab.
3. Click Edit on the status page.
4. Type the domain in Custom domain (optional), such as status.example.com.
5. Click Save changes.

The domain must be a plain host name, with no https:// and no path. Each domain can serve only one status page. Domains on brokenlinkchecker.io are reserved.

Point the domain at us#

Once saved, the row shows this note: "Point a CNAME for this domain at status.brokenlinkchecker.io. TLS setup is manual for now, contact support."

1. At your DNS provider, add a CNAME record for your domain.
2. Point it at status.brokenlinkchecker.io.
3. Wait until the record resolves.
4. Contact support and name the domain.

Support then completes the certificate setup by hand. Your page works on the custom domain once that is done. We do not give a fixed time for this step.

What visitors get on your domain#

Your domain shows the same status page as the link on brokenlinkchecker.io. Only the page itself and its logo live there. Every other path on the domain returns "not found".

To remove the domain, clear the field and click Save changes. The change applies right away. If you move to a plan without custom domains, the domain stops serving the page on the next visit.

Remove our branding with white label#

On Pro Agency, the edit form shows three more fields:

1. Tick White label (hide Broken Link Checker branding).
2. Optional: set an Accent color as a hex code, such as #2563EB. Leave it empty for the default color.
3. Optional: upload a Logo as PNG, JPG or WebP, up to 512 KB. SVG files are not accepted.
4. Click Save changes.

The page then shows your logo and accent color. The "Monitored by brokenlinkchecker.io" footer and every other mention of us disappear. The row shows a White label badge.

White label follows your current plan. If you leave Pro Agency, our branding returns on the next page load. Your white label settings stay saved for when you come back.
