Broken Link CheckerA status page shows your visitors whether your services are up. By the end of this page you will have published one and know what it shows.
A status page belongs to your account, not to one monitor. It groups the monitors you pick.
Plan: status pages per account are Free 1 · Pro Personal 3 · Pro Business 10 · Pro Agency Unlimited.
Create a status page
- Open the project and click Uptime monitor in the sidebar.
- Click the Status pages tab.
- Type a Name, such as "Acme Status".
- Tick the Monitors the page should show.
- Click Create status page.
The message "Status page created." confirms it. The row shows the public link. Click it to open the page in a new tab.
The page address
The address is built from the name plus six random characters. For "Acme Status" it looks like https://brokenlinkchecker.io/status/acme-status-k3x9pq. You cannot change it later.
Anyone with the link can open the page without logging in. The page asks search engines not to index it.
Pro Business and Pro Agency can serve the page on their own domain instead. Custom domain for a status page shows how.
What visitors see
From top to bottom, the page shows:
- The page name and an overall line. It reads "All systems operational" or "Some monitors are experiencing issues".
- Uptime for the last 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days and 90 days, across all monitors on the page.
- A 90-day uptime strip with one bar per day. Hover a bar for its date and figure.
- A Response time · last 24 hours chart of hourly averages. It needs two hours of data before it draws.
- A Monitors table with each monitor's status, name and type. HTTP monitors show 24h and 30d uptime. Expiry monitors show their expiry date, and heartbeats the time of the last ping.
- An Incident history with the start, monitor, cause and duration of each incident.
- The footer "Monitored by brokenlinkchecker.io". Pro Agency can hide it with white label.
A paused monitor shows an orange dot and a new monitor a grey one.
The incident history covers the last 90 days. On Free it covers the last 30 days, the length of the Free history.
Edit a status page
- Click Edit on the status page's row.
- Change the Name or tick different Monitors. The page lists monitors in the order you tick them.
- Click Save changes.
The Monitors list shows only the monitors of the project you are on. Edit a status page from the project whose monitors it lists. The simplest setup is one status page per project.
Delete a status page
Click Delete on the row and confirm. The public link stops working.
When you reach the limit
Once every status page of your plan is in use, the create form gives way to a notice. Delete a page you no longer need, or click Compare plans to move to a bigger plan.
