Rescan, connect WordPress or delete a project

This page covers the everyday upkeep of a project. By the end of it you will know how to rescan a project, connect its WordPress site and delete it.

Scan a project again#

Click Run scan on the Overview, Scan reports or Broken links tab. On the Projects page, the same button reads Scan now.

A project scan always covers the full site:

• It starts on your homepage. If WordPress lives in a folder, such as /blog/, it starts there instead.
• It reads your sitemap, follows your robots.txt and checks links to other websites.
• It uses your excluded URL patterns and your Remove URL parameters setting.
• It stops at the page limit of your plan.

A project scan never hands you an older report. Each one counts toward your monthly scan total.

What you see while it runs#

• "Scan started. Fresh results appear here once it finishes." The scan is on its way.
• "A scan is already running for this domain." Wait for the fresh results.
• "You just scanned this site. Wait a few minutes and try again."

Project pages show no live progress. The Overview tab shows "Scan in progress" until the results land. Refresh the page after a few minutes.

The WordPress tab#

Click WordPress in the sidebar. The badge reads CONNECTED or NOT CONNECTED.

To connect the site:

1. Install the Check for Broken Links plugin from wordpress.org.
2. Click "Connect site" in wp-admin.
3. Refresh the WordPress tab. The domain verifies itself.

Once connected, the tab shows when the plugin last checked in. Click Open the plugin in wp-admin → to jump to your site.

The list Connected sites on your account shows every site you connected. Each one has Open project or Set up project, plus Disconnect. A disconnected site loses its Pro features in the plugin until you connect it again.

The plugin needs WordPress 5.8 or newer and PHP 7.4 or newer. It works with multisite, and it is free.

Your plan#

The Your plan panel on Scan settings shows your plan, the sites it covers and the renewal date. On a paid plan, click Manage plan & invoices or Billing portal. One subscription covers all your projects. The Account and billing section covers plan changes.

Delete a project#

Deleting lives on the Scan settings tab, not on Public page.

1. Open the project and click Scan settings in the sidebar.
2. Scroll to the Delete this project card at the bottom.
3. Click Delete project.
4. Confirm in the dialog.

The public page comes down, and the domain is free for anyone to claim again. Your scan history stays in your account.
