Scan history and retention

Every scan of a project lands in its history. By the end of this page you will know where to find past scans. You will also know how long each part of a scan stays available.

Open Scan reports#

1. Open the project from the Projects page.
2. Click Scan reports in the sidebar.

The table lists your recent finished scans, newest first. Click Run scan to add a fresh one. While a scan runs, a note says so above the table.

Read the table#

• Date is the day the scan ran.
• Mode reads Full site or Single page.
• Links is the number of links checked.
• Broken is the number of broken links.
• Warnings counts links the scanner could not verify.
• Health is the health score, with a colored dot.

The Actions column opens each scan:

• View latest on the newest scan opens the Broken links page.
• View on an older scan opens its full report.
• Summary only means the full details of that scan have expired.

How long we keep scan data#

A scan has two parts. The full details list every link. The summary keeps the date, the links checked, the broken count and the health score.

• Full details stay for 30 days after the scan. After that, the row shows Summary only and the Warnings column shows a dot.
• The latest scan of each project keeps its full details. So your project always has one complete report.
• Summaries stay for a window that depends on your plan.

The window follows your current plan. If you move to a smaller plan, the shorter window applies to your older summaries too. The same window covers the history of the other tools in a project.

Plan: a paid plan keeps scan summaries for longer. The footnote under the Scan reports table names the window for your plan.

Reports from scans without an account#

A scan from the homepage gives you a report link. That link works for 30 days, then it stops working. The report page shows the exact date as "report kept until".

To keep a history, add the site as a project and scan it from there.
