Fix broken links with AI

Get a checked replacement or a recommendation to unlink for every broken link, then apply the fixes in WordPress or hand the prompt to your developer.

Fix with AI looks for a working replacement for each broken link on your site. By the end of this page you will have run the analysis, read the suggestions and applied them.

Plan: AI fixes come with every paid plan. Pro Personal includes 200 fixes a month, Pro Business 1,000 and Pro Agency 5,000. Free includes none and shows a preview with sample data.

Open Fix with AI

  1. Open the project and run a scan if it has none yet.
  2. Click Fix with AI in the sidebar, under PRO TOOLS. The Fix these with AI button on the Broken links page opens the same tool.

The badge at the top shows how many AI fixes you used this month.

Get suggestions

  1. Look at the panel Broken links from the latest scan. It lists the broken links the AI can work on.
  2. Click Suggest fixes for followed by the number of links.
  3. A progress bar shows "Analyzing broken links" and counts the links done. The page updates on its own.

For each link, the AI proposes replacement pages. We then open each one and keep only the pages that load. We also look for an archived copy of the old page.

Read the suggestions

The panel Suggested fixes has one row per link. The Fix column tells you what to do:

  • REPLACE gives a working page to link instead, with a one-line reason.
  • UNLINK means no live replacement turned up. Remove the link and keep its text. A link to an archived copy on the Wayback Machine appears when one exists.
  • WORKING means the AI is still checking that link.
  • QUOTA means your monthly fixes ran out before this link.
  • FAILED means the AI service did not answer. Run the analysis again. A failed link costs nothing.

Each replacement carries a Confidence label: High, Medium or Low. Open low-confidence replacements in your browser before you use them.

The preview on the Free plan shows sample rows with percentages. Real results always use the three labels.

Apply the fixes in WordPress

The plugin can apply every fix for you. Connect the site to its project first, with plugin version 3.0.4 or newer.

  1. Click Apply in WordPress to send every suggestion. To send one, click Apply on its row.
  2. The plugin picks the fixes up and edits your posts.
  3. Each row shows Applying…, then Applied ✓ or Failed. Click Retry on a failed row.

If the plugin is older than 3.0.4, a message asks you to update it. After the update, click Refresh connection on the plugin's Settings page.

Use the prompt instead

Not on WordPress? Hand the fixes to a developer or an AI coding agent.

  • View prompt shows the prompt on screen.
  • Copy prompt copies it.
  • Download .md saves it as a Markdown file.

The prompt lists each broken link with its status, anchor text and the pages that hold it. It then gives the replacement, or tells the reader to remove the link and keep its text.

How the monthly quota works

  • One fix counts for each link that gets a result, a recommendation to unlink included.
  • A failed link costs nothing.
  • Running the analysis again spends fixes again for every link in it.
  • Your fixes reset at the start of each calendar month.
  • The WordPress plugin's AI link fixes and AI title and description fixes use the same monthly count.

The page shows only your latest batch. Suggestions stay for a week, and fixes you applied stay in WordPress.
