Use your own report domain

Serve shared rank reports and audits on a subdomain you own, such as reports.youragency.com, with one CNAME record and a verify step.

Your shared reports can live on a subdomain you own, such as reports.youragency.com. By the end of this page you will have connected one.

Plan: a custom report domain comes with Pro Business and Pro Agency, as part of white label.

Pick a subdomain

The domain must be a subdomain, with at least three parts, such as reports.youragency.com. A bare domain like youragency.com does not work.

  • Your own domain: addresses under brokenlinkchecker.io are refused with "Use a domain you own."
  • One account: a domain can belong to one account only.
  • Not a status page domain: a domain that already serves an uptime status page cannot serve reports too. Use another subdomain.

Save the domain

  1. Open any project and click White label in the sidebar.
  2. Type your subdomain in the Custom domain field.
  3. Click Save changes.

The message reads "Saved. Add the CNAME record for your domain, then click Verify." The badge next to the field shows Waiting for setup. While you type a new domain, the badge reads Not saved yet.

Add the CNAME record

  1. Sign in at your DNS provider.
  2. Add a CNAME record for your subdomain.
  3. Point it at reports.brokenlinkchecker.io.

The Custom domain card shows the exact name and value, with a Copy button.

Wait for the certificate

Saving the domain tells us about it. We add the security certificate for your domain on our side within one business day. You do not need to email us.

Verify the domain

Wait until the record resolves and the certificate is in place. Then click Verify next to the field.

  • Success: "Your domain is live. New share links use it now." The badge turns to Connected.
  • Not yet: "Not live yet. Check the CNAME record." The certificate step can take up to one business day, so try again later.

If a day has passed and Verify still fails, contact support and name the domain.

After the domain is connected, the button reads Re-check. Use it if you change DNS settings later.

What changes once it is live

  • New share links for rank reports and audits use your domain.
  • Old links on brokenlinkchecker.io keep working. You do not need to resend them.
  • Your domain serves only your shared rank reports, your shared audits with their PDFs, and your logo. Every other page stays on brokenlinkchecker.io.

Public report pages stay on brokenlinkchecker.io. Your custom domain does not serve them.

Change or remove the domain

To change it, type a new subdomain and click Save changes. The new domain starts at Waiting for setup, and share links use brokenlinkchecker.io until you verify it.

To remove it, clear the field and click Save changes. Share links go back to brokenlinkchecker.io.

If you move to a plan without white label, your domain stops serving reports shortly after. Share links fall back to brokenlinkchecker.io.
