Broken Link CheckerA shared rank report is a public, read-only page with the rankings of one project. By the end of this page you will have shared it and embedded it. You can lock it with a password too.
Plan: sharing, passwords and embedding work on every plan. Your own brand on the page comes with Pro Business and Pro Agency.
Turn sharing on
- Open the Rank Tracker of your project and click Tracker settings.
- Scroll to Share this report.
- Type a password in the password field if you want one. Leave it empty for an open page.
- Click Turn sharing on.
The panel now shows the Share link and the Embed code, each with a Copy button. Back on the Rank Tracker, Copy share link copies the link in one click.
Add or change the password
- In Share this report, type the new password.
- Click Set password, or Change password when one is already set.
The link stays the same when you set or change the password. Visitors see a page that says "This report is protected". They type the password and click Open report. They enter it once per visit, not on every page view.
Turn sharing off
Click Turn sharing off. The old link stops working at once.
If you turn sharing on again, you get a new link. Send the new link to everyone who had the old one.
Embed the report on a site
Copy the Embed code and paste it into the HTML of any page. It shows the report in a frame that fits the width of the page. The embedded version leaves out the brand bar at the top and the footer.
What visitors see
- A header with the project name, the domain and the date range the report covers. The range starts at the first reading and ends at the latest one.
- Four cards: Tracked rankings, In top 3, In top 10 and Average position. Changes appear once there are at least two readings.
- A Keywords in top positions chart and a Position distribution chart.
- A table with Keyword, Position, 7d, 30d, Best, Trend and Ranking URL. Visitors can filter it by engine and device.
- A footer that says whether positions are checked weekly or daily.
The page updates by itself with every new reading. You never send a new file.
Show your own brand
On Pro Business and Pro Agency, the shared report carries your brand. Your logo and name sit in the top bar, with a Contact us link to your support email. The footer names you with a link to your website. It also shows your short description and email.
You can hide the "Powered by Broken Link Checker" line. With your own report domain set up, new share links use that domain. The White label section of these docs covers every brand setting.
The brand follows your current plan on every visit. If you move to a plan without white label, our branding returns. Your brand settings stay saved.
